During his visit to Rwanda, Africa curator Alexis Malefakis has an extensive data carrier with him: the workshop exhibition "Honeymoon? 5 Questions for the 'Hans Paasche Collection' from East Africa" was digitized in advance using a special process so that the exhibition and an image gallery of all the individual objects can now be viewed at the Ethnographic Museum in Huye, Rwanda.

In collaboration with the Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy, we are currently investigating the origins of 200 objects from Rwanda that have been in the Ethnographic Museum's collection since 1922. The interactive exhibition and the gallery of object images is a suitable form to make the objects, their history and their way to Switzerland accessible to the people in the original society in Rwanda and to discuss the collection with them on site.

Soon you will be able to visit the virtual exhibition also on our website: 360° - The extended exhibition space.
