Sole City

Choosing shoes, addressing passers-by and negotiating prices: Would you succeed as a street vendor? In the computer simulation Sole City, you slip into the role of a shoe vendor on the streets of Dar es Salaam.

Sole City is a co-production of the Ethnographic Museum at the University of Zürich, the Austrian artist group gold extra and the Tanzanian photographer Link Reuben. The production was sponsored by the Ernst Göhner Stiftung and the Agora programme of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
