The Spring Rumble and Outlook
Events in March 2026
The "Rumble in the Archive" project is about enter its second phase, which marks the start of numerous events that the residents are organising together with the museum team.
Celebrate with us the dawn of this next stage on 14 March at "The Spring Rumble"! Photobooth, tours, performances, live music, Brazilian buffet and DJ sets – with Debasish Borah, Marilyn Umurungi, Zainab J Lascandri, BIBAK Switzerland, Dandara Modesto, DJ Breezy Hendrix, Association Alkebulan, Salim Umar and studiyo filipino.
Following this celebration, we will collect traces of resistance and solidarity in postcolonial Zurich at the workshop "Inside the Archive" on 15 March.
The film series "Rumble Residents Select" will start on 12 March with the film "The Stuart Hall Project" (John Akomfrah, 2013), selected and presented by resident Salim Umar.
Starting 26 March, dialogue-based tours with two residents will take place every last Thursday of the month. Join the talk!

In April, Salim Umar will read from his text-in-progress "This House Has Moved Me" at the Intervention Epizentrum 1 (11.4), and the Alkebulan Association will organise an "Empowerment Workshop" (15.4, for BIPOCs only).
In May, studiyo filipino will invite you to a reading of "Common Diversities – Diaspora im Dialog" (9 May) and to its biannual symposium, an edition entitled "Tastes and Tongues" (30.5).
In June, Zunft zur Diversität (Diversity Guild) will organize a panel discussion on the topic of "Wer bestimmt die Stadt?" ("Who determines the city?") (6.6).
