Rohit Jain

Rohit Jain is the guest curator of "Rumble in the Archive." As a social anthropologist and a collaborative researcher, his work focuses on migration, globalization, postcolonialism, and the politics of memory and reparations. He is interested in the political aesthetics of postcolonial spaces and, in particular, in how these spaces can be critically shaped and transformed through collective interventions. Rohit has contributed to artistic research projects at ZHdK on the Swiss gold trade and urban citizenship at the Shedhalle Zurich, among others, and he is a co-founder oft he postmigrant Think & Act TankInstitut Neue Schweiz and theSchwar zenbach Kompl ex, a long-term artistic-political project on anti-racist memory politics.  From 2022 to 2025, he curated the Public Anthro Lab at the University of Bern. Since July 2025, Rohit has been leading the SNF project "Performing the Archive. Memory and Reparation in Postcolonial and Postmigrant Switzerland at the Department of Design Film Art at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
